Work for INFRINGE
Between September 2016 and September 2018, I worked as features assistant for Infringe, an independent magazine dedicated to hair culture. Working as part of a small team that published weekly online stories and a biannual print version, I had a large role in creating, developing and editing content for both platforms.
These photographs depict mask-maker Muriel Nisse’s studio in Bordeaux, France. They were taken for Infringe Magazine in November 2017 with a Nikon D810 and minimal after affects have been used. As well as conducting the interview with Muriel Nisse, I was required to document her studio, materials and masks for an an article that is to be put online at the end of April 2018 and in the issue 3 print version that will be released in October 2018. The photographs accompany a video and written interview about her choice of materials and her mask-making process. The photographs taken, of which this is a small selection were to focus on these elements and visual document her process, materials and existing masks.
